Glass for Sale in your Room

You are encouraged to sell Fenton Glass from your room. We plan lots of time for “shopping the rooms.” The hotel has tables available for $25.00 (plus tax) each for length of stay. Please bring your own table covers and/or skirting unless you would prefer the hotel to furnish white tablecloths. The tables are 30 inches wide by 72 inches long.

Individuals Displays

You are encouraged to set up a display table. Full table displays are requested with identification requested as education is one of the keys to enjoying our glass passion. Choose your own theme. Please indicate on your registration form if we should reserve a display table for you as our available space permits only 19 display tables. Tables are 30 inches wide by 72 inches long. You may bring your own table covers and skirting or the hotel will provide them. Set up will be Friday at 7:00 am to 9:00 am in main Display room. For security purposes, plan to turn in a list of your display glass before your display is set up.

We will have Silent Auctions for a few items and our Fourth Annual Raffle. For an opportunity to purchase, you need to be at the Gala!

!!! Important Hotel Information !!!

If you need to cancel your hotel room reservation, please call our Gala Committee member who coordinates with the Hotel, Jason Herman, so that we won’t lose a Gala Rate blocked room. He can be reached at (816) 799-6171 or jherm007@aol.com. Rooms on the Second Floor (to sell glass) are First Come, First Serve. You still call the hotel for your room reservation first. The Hotel has blocked rooms for us on the 2nd Floor and the 4th Floor. We cannot guarantee the room of your choice! Please note: This is a non-smoking hotel.

Embassy Suites – This is such a great hotel for the Gala! There is a free shuttle to and from the airport.

At the airport, just pick up the Embassy Suites phone (in the Baggage Pickup area) to call the shuttle. When you check in, request a Free Parking Card to display on the dashboard of your car. All rooms are two room suites with a king size bed or two double beds and the sofa folds out for another bed. Michael Dickinson was born in Marietta, Ohio in 1954. He studied art at Marietta College. For 11 years he was employed as a glass painter and designer for The Fenton Art Glass Company in Williamstown, West Virginia. Works other than his Limited Edition Lithographs include murals in private residences and he restored the artwork on the grand piano in the Ohio State Capital. His Columbus Union Station lithograph series was the result of five years of research and several months of dedicated artistry. Additional works include the city map of Marietta, posters for Marietta College, and various lithographs of Marietta and Columbus Ohio. His original oil painting “Evening Reflections” (The Marietta Train Station in 1915) was chosen by the Ohio Arts Council to hang in the Ohio Governor’s Mansion where it was displayed for two years. Michael enjoys painting historic scenes in watercolor acrylic and oil. He is currently traveling throughout the United States, researching for additional paintings and lithographs of American cities and National Parks. His paintings and lithographs are available at gift shops and framing stores in Columbus, Ohio, where Michael currently resides, and throughout the United States.
